Palm Beach Gardens, FL Direct-Hire $110000.00 - $110000.00 Onsite

Job Description

The Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring adherence to both IFRS and US GAAP while managing complex areas such as lease accounting, foreign currency activity, and hedging. This position plays a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and value-added financial reporting that informs senior leadership and supports strategic decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting depth, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to anticipate needs and drive solutions, despite having no direct reports in the current structure. The role will be the primary point of contact between the accounting function and the parent company, managing monthly reporting packages, responding to inquiries, and ensuring alignment on key accounting and reporting matters.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of IFRS- and US GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules.

  • Own the general ledger, including recording of all business transactions, account reconciliations, and detailed variance analysis, while ensuring strict adherence to internal policies and relevant accounting standards.

  • Serve as the main liaison with external auditors, coordinating all audit requests and deliverables and preparing technical accounting position papers for review and discussion with executive leadership.

  • Maintain and enhance the internal control environment, including documentation, testing support, and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.

Technical and cross-functional focus

  • Provide guidance to business partners on the accounting impact of new transactions, commercial arrangements, and strategic initiatives, collaborating closely with Finance, Treasury, Real Estate, and other functional teams.

  • Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16, ensuring complete and accurate lease data, journal entries, and disclosures in partnership with Real Estate and Finance.

  • Manage foreign currency exposure and related accounting, working with Treasury and Finance to monitor FX risk, implement appropriate hedging or mitigation strategies, and ensure proper recognition, measurement, and disclosure.

ERP implementation and systems

  • Play a key role in the migration from SAP to Oracle in Q1 2026, ensuring that accounting and reporting requirements are fully reflected in system design and configuration.

  • Partner with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to support system testing, data validation, user training, and change management activities, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Oracle-based environments.

  • Drive process and system improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline close, reporting, and compliance activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent credential strongly preferred.

  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership or ownership of key processes (formal people management not required).

  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting; hands-on experience with external audits and working with third-party or outsourced providers.

  • Practical experience with ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting standards, as well as demonstrated success leading or supporting process improvements and implementation of new tools or systems (ERP experience with Oracle is highly preferred).

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner across the organization; proven capability to lead initiatives and mentor others in a matrixed or non-direct-report environment.

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable, but not required.

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive market-based salary.

  • 401(k) and Roth retirement plans with company match and immediate 100% vesting.

  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Company-paid short-term disability and employer-subsidized long-term disability.

  • Company-paid life insurance coverage.

  • Employee discounts on tire purchases.

  • Tuition reimbursement and access to an employee assistance program.

  • Generous vacation and paid time off programs.

  • A range of customizable voluntary benefit options.
